Unthinkable Submission
Above are images of prototype ceramic pieces. The pieces I propose to use for this exhibition would not have coloured glaze, if they are glazed at all. Also, they will not all bear the same imprints - they will be imprinted with various local coastline finds along with broken portions of texts. They will be more ‘vessel’ like, and the clay bodies will be in a small selection of different hues.
Below the videos are images of a recent work in development, suspending mirror acrylic pieces. The frame they hang from is custom-made to fit HARI. I intend to use only HALF THE LENGTH of the frame. These images give some idea as to how the suspension of multiple small pieces may look in the space at HARI.
The first video illustrates the sound of the ceramic pieces.
The second video shows how suspended pieces may move in the space at HARI.
