Telling Tales

A public performance simultaneously dealing with issues around perceptions on female roles and enquiring into the journey and exchange of information. The performance was split into two parts.

In the first part, ribbons with written statements that were loosely stiched onto a dress were handed to members of the public on Millennium Bridge, London.

In the second part, members of the public were invited to write onto blank ribbons that were hung from trees on the South Bank of the River Thames. The ribbons were then stitched onto the dress before them.

You can click here to read the original ribbon statements. Some of them were also used for the Sticker Project.
